FAQ
Everything people ask before booking
If it isn't here, ask us — we'd rather answer it than have you guess.
Before you book
- How long is a session?
- Most shows book two to three hours, which covers setup, a full episode and a comfortable amount of overrun. An hour is enough for short-form or a single talking-head piece. You can always add time on the day if the room is free after you.
- How many people can be on camera?
- Between two and six depending on the room. The Courtyard is built as an intimate two-hander; the other rooms seat up to four comfortably, and Studio One takes six around the table.
- Do I need to bring anything?
- No. The rooms are dressed, lit and cabled before you arrive, and the mics, cameras and lighting are all permanent. Bring yourself, your guests and anything you want on the table.
- Can I look round before booking?
- Yes — get in touch and we'll arrange a walk-through. Most people book after seeing which room suits their format.
On the day
- Where do I park?
- Free parking on site, straight off the unit at Unit 15, Wharfside. No permits and no time limit.
- What time should I arrive?
- Ten minutes before your slot is plenty. Your session time is recording time — setup is done before you get here, so nothing is eaten out of your booking.
- Is there someone in the room with us?
- Yes. A producer runs the session start to finish — levels, framing, and keeping the conversation moving if you want them to. You are never left to work the kit yourself.
- Can we shoot in more than one room?
- Yes, and there's no extra charge for moving between rooms within a session, as long as the rooms are free. It's a straightforward way to get a different look for a second segment.
After the shoot
- When do I get the episode back?
- Within 48 hours. That's the full edit — colour graded, audio mixed and ready to publish, not a raw export.
- Do I get short-form clips?
- Yes, vertical clips cut for TikTok, Reels and Shorts come as part of the production service. Long-form is only half the job.
- Who owns the footage?
- You do, completely — the raw files and the finished edit. We keep a copy on the shelf in case you need it again, and we'll only ever use a clip to promote the studio if you've said yes.
- Can you publish it for us?
- We can. Distribution out to YouTube, Spotify, Apple and Amazon is included in the full production service, along with thumbnails, titles and show notes.
Money and changes
- How do I pay?
- By card at the time of booking, or by bank transfer against an invoice if you'd rather. Invoiced bookings get a payment link that stays live until it's settled.
- Can I move my booking?
- Yes, free of charge up to 48 hours before your slot — just ask, or move it yourself from your client portal. Inside 48 hours we'll always try, but it depends on what else is in the diary.
- What if I need to cancel?
- Cancel more than 48 hours ahead and you're refunded in full. Inside 48 hours we hold the fee as studio credit against a future session rather than refunding it, since the room can rarely be filled at that notice.
